This is MY character, Kaori. Kaori Michiko/Sohma.

She is...i think 6(?) in this picture. It was hard for me to draw, because i wasn't copying anything this time, except the perfect colorful impossible to draw picture in my head. lol. But she turned out cute. I just wish i had a program for coloring. Program, software, website- ANYTHING! Anyone know anywhere?

Oh, for those of you who don't know her story, this is it: PLEASE READ:

By 3 years old, her mother officially rejected her. Her mother hated her. But Kaori loved her mom so much. no matter what.

She was thrown out on the street to be all alone. Maybe even in hopes that she’d die. But before she did this, she told young Kaori: “You’re a freak. You don’t belong. Mommy can’t stay with you anymore. But you’ll be fine, as long as you don’t let any boys hug you. If you do, you’ll be punished. You promise?” So Kaori promised. She would never break it.

She stayed out on the streets for a while, wandering around town with her little tiger plushie in her hands. She liked sitting at a pond behind an adoption agency at night- the moonlight looked so pretty in the water.

Soon, someone from an adoption agency noticed Kaori out alone every day, and decided she needed a home, so she took her in. When they asked what Kaori's name was, she said Kaori, then stopped. She said she couldn't remember her last name. The Sohma's were very well known.

They decided to temporarily give her the same last name as the lady who ran the agency, Michiko.

Everyone thought Kaori was adorable, and would fit right in.

But Kaori wouldn’t play with anyone. She’d hide under beds and cribs, and soon made her bed and home under a box, and wouldn’t come out all day. When it was time to eat, she would eat after everyone was gone, and she almost never slept.

So, the kids had her marked a freak there too.

Finally, she was accepted. Almost.
A little boy, about a year older than her, walked over to her box and said hello. She ducked down and wouldn’t speak. But he didn’t give up. He came to her every meal and ate next to her box. He’d offer to play with her. He’d try everything, but she’d never come out.

Even though she always stayed in her box, he'd walk over to it every morning to bring her breakfast. They'd talk, and tell stories, and soon were almost like best friends...

2 years passed like that. They knew eachothers favorite animals, favorite colors, favorite palces, things subjects, everything. They were best friends. Her first real friend!!!

And then it was winter. The dnow came, and Kaori would hear everyone talk about it, and wonder what it looked like. She was only 3 last time she saw it. Kaori sat in her box with paper and crayons, drawing a picture of her in the snow. Playing and having fun.

She started making the snow green. That didn't seem right though. Then blue, but that would be rain. Finally, white. But it didn't look very good. What was snow really like? She sat in wonder.

That’s when he came. He asked her to play in the snow with him, together. As best friends.

And she cried. Kaori said she couldn’t leave her box. So he cut a hole in the side of the box, and stuck his hand through. They held hands and went outside to play. Everyone laughed, but neither of them cared. He asked one last time if she would come out, and she whispered no. When he asked why she said: “I made a promise to mommy. And I’m a freak. No one wants to look at me, or play with me.”

“I do.” He said.

And together, they slowly lifted off her box. He knew she was beautiful. So they held hands and played in the snow. She was so happy! Kids stared at them, and she wasn’t sure if it was good or bad, but she was so happy! They through snowballs, and ate snow, and made snow angels too!

Soon it got to cold, so they went to walk inside. Kaori shivered, and as soon as he noticed, he put his arms around her for warmth. But she transformed.

Before he could see, she ran away. Through the snow and into the trees. And she hid.

She was 6 and knew herself as Kaori Michiko, the freak. She stayed on her own until she made a brand knew friend-

Kietorin Sohma.
