Description my initial concept for a furniture competition held by a local furniture retailer through my university. the idea was to play on the whole concept of contrast to achieve an interesting non-typical approach to the studio stool. i wanted to mix the use of found objects(in this case recycled motorcycle fork tubes, or car struts) which has an industrial raw feeling, with a very smooth organic feeling achieved through the use of a fiberglass molded seat. like i said this is an initial concept but more than likely i will stick with the overall look and style and just refine it a bit. comments and CONSTRUCTIVE critisism are extreamly appreciated!

"Motorcycle Fork Tubes Stool, by Chris Talbott at California Polytechnic State University- San Luis Obispo. Faculty: Thomas Fowler IV." That's the caption, it's on page 123 of "Becoming an Architect" by Lee W. Waldrep, Ph.D. It was published by Wiley. I can't believe they would publish this without telling you... best of luck man.
