Ummm...it was actually a fan made video...but I'm pretty sure it was from the first series...Lisa Hayes and Rick hunter on board the Robotech thingie. He picks her up and puts her in the cockpit with him...I've only seen a few episodes, but I really liked it.

The whole love triangle thing was intriguing...my vote is for Lisa to win! LOL

Can youu tell me which version has those characters in it? I'd like to see the original show, but all I keep finding is AMV videos and newer versions (Harmony Gold).

click "M"... Find "Macross: Superdimensional Fortress" 5 DVDs, this is the original series... next find, "Macross: Do You Remember Love?" (I believe they botched the title on this site) this is the movie (beautiful artwork)...

"Robotech: The Macross Saga" (the English-dubbed Robotech version) can be watched online (it just has occasional commercials) --> [link]

I'm currently watching the 2nd Robotech series to relive my youth, ha!

oh ok, I know the scene

in the 80s, I only knew it as Robotech... I later saw the movie, "Macross: Do You Remember Love?" (in Japanese w/ subtitles... this movie is kinda' like a condensed Macross series with new designs)... and then a long time after that, acquired all the original series in Japanese (Robotech is actually 3 totally different series merged together -- along with Macross [the one you just described], the 2nd is Superdimensional Cavalry Southern Cross, and the 3rd is Genesis Climber Mospeada)... I think many would agree that Macross is the strongest one...

now, about the love triangle in Macross, I had different opinions depending on the show! No kidding!

1) Robotech's Macross - very clearly Lisa is the right choice (I think the writers skewed it!)
2) Macross original Japanese series - totally confused and didn't know who to choose! (this is probably the original intention!)
3) Macross: Do You Remember Love? movie - very clearly Minmei is the right choice

if you ever get a chance to watch the series and/or the movie, please do! It's very good
