The original drawing was inspired by a RP with and , where Phantom first went red-eyed. One of my favourite RPs which lead to my favourite picture of all time. c:

ovo It means that when he gets too angry, the part of MD's demon inside him (which was put inside him when MD made the scars on Phantom's head) drives him to get even angrier, and out of control.
