Description My art skills have been LIT lately and like

It's amazing

(Please kill me for using the term "lit")

So, taking the opportunity of my flowing ideas, I decided to design a FlameCaller, a tribe of dragon that can literally burst into flames that is in the novel I am currently writing. Their name has nothing to do with Flight Rising, mind you. I came up witj it on a whim, only to realize that one of the elemental leaders is called the "Flamecaller", so I just left it. I like the name anyways.

Anywho, FlameCallers are whispy and sharp dragons that have features similar to birds, though their "feathers" aren't feathers at all, but scales mimicking them. Royals have intricate patters upon their bodies. Each FlameCaller is hatched with a certain level of fire calling, depending on how much flammable oils their scales create (which smells similar to gasoline), the lighter scaled dragons having a harder time producing fire from their body. The more fire a FlameCaller can create, the more resistant they are to getting burned from outside fires and heats, though they all have a cooling period, where they have to build up the energy and oils to explode again. FlameCallers can also breathe fire, though they cannot firebend.

FlameCallers are prone to exploding into flames when enraged, which is why it is best to avoid snappy ones. The ones who are constantly angry are also constantly tired from using up their energy, which leaves them degraded into tired, fuming ducks. The more they use up their energy and oils, the faster they come to death, being that they will eventually freeze to death once they've used up their reserves. Typically it's the old that burn and freeze, but the unlucky FlameCallers hatched with light colored scales tend to die sooner, being that they don't have as much of a reserve as others. Lighter colored dragnets are usually hatched with an eggmate, or twin, where one of the twins sucked up their eggmate's reserves while still in the egg. Some die before they hatch if their twin is lucky enough to suck up all of their energy. Unlucky FlameCallers do tend to be wiser when using their fire power, being that one explosion could lead to their ultimate death.

Water also physically pains them.

This is about it on FlameCallers. I might add some more details about them some other time :3
