Took an old comic page and turned it into colour. This was done a while ago but wasn't active on DA... so working through my backlog of things to post lol. Was trying to find ways to paint that were using some more cel-shading methods, not blending as much to see if it could be a time saving method that still gave a good look. Not 100% on if I like the result. The clouds especially came out weird. But you gotta try it to find out I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Related content

Thanks! Yes, in a way. It was part of a larger world/ series that I'm prepping to pitch to a webcomic company early next year. They have a program where if you're selected, they pay you to make your series (exclusive to their site.) If not selected, will still produce it anyway. The page this one was from was largely just to practice making comics period, but the story itself wasn't really anything worth working on, even the writer didn't really like it and we couldn't find a way to "save" it from it's glaring problems. xD

That sounds awesome! I wish you the best of luck! I have a graphic novel that I first started in high school that I have recently been working on rebooting from scratch, and hope to scan and post some pages soon.

I think the clouds suit well enough and fit with the rest of the work, but true, can only know by trying!
