My rogue looks like this now. Very well done by you - it depicts the rawness and the aspect of assassination of rogues in a very direct and artful way. Only thing I miss in this piece is the boots!

For the soft shading, I use the airbrush: a large, hard-edged brush, with really low flow(like 3-5%), press harder to get a bigger, less defined stroke and press lightly for a smaller hard stroke. And just do that, mixing the shadows, midtones and highlights 'til the transitions look smooth where I want them to
For a smoother look, I'd do the same thing with soft-edged brushes(with some hard shadows here and there for contrast)

the colors in this look awesome. I love the orange glow the dagger gives off and the dark aura seeping from the armor XD. You did a great job. Did you use a Tablet to make this or was it done by mouse?
