Description Many people wondered where Sithis is in this conference...so i did another version with him^^ He took the form of a huge black shadow (inspired somehow by a black hole) and is watching his "children" (Sithis created the Daedra) arguing...of course he desires the dragonborn for himself. here's the orginal pic by the way:spynder4.deviantart.com/art/Da…
What would happen if the Dovahkiin dies... You can do quests for each of the deadric lords and become their champion. But which of them claims his/her soul when he/she dies? So I had the idea of a conference, a ferocious debate between the deadric princes.
At first I had to think what exactly each single one of them intends to do with a mortal soul, and why that specific deadra wants him/her. This was more or less easy. I mean...Molag Bal for example, is called the "harvester of souls". He collects mortal souls as trophies, he enslaves the ones who opposed him in life...and his followers could probably be used as slave drivers. But for example Peryite's motives are quite unknown...I mean why would the lord of pestilence and natural order would want to own a mortal? Does he want them to suffer? or something else? This was quite hard because we know very little about Peryite...
I tried to emphasize the character of each of them...I hope you like it^^

I drew my argonian Dovahkiin Vulonaara as the object of desire.
The best thing would be if you start reading at Mehrunes Dagon, then Mephala, Peryite,...to Malacath at last.
Mehrunes Dagon is in cold fury as usual and vents his anger on the table. Mephala is quite irritated as well as Azura. Peryite is profoundly convinced that he is the rightful owner. Namira reaches out her hand longingly for the little Dovahkiin. Nocturnal feels a little unwell because she's short of room and doesn't like being among crowds so she suggests a quick solution...for her benefit of course. Hircine is quite sure that being a werewolf makes her his own...but Molag Bal contradicts and sees himself as the rightful owner, because Vulonaara is also a vampire. So he makes use of threats to intimidate his rivals. Vaermina makes a tempting offer...which Boethia doesn't like at all. She tells her to shut her mouths...(yes my version of Vearmina has three mouths^^ on in her face, one on her throat, and one on her belly.) Meridia is a bit disappointed because of Vulonaaras propensity to evil (Meridia hates necromancers) but she believes in the good in man or more precisely the good in lizard. Sheogorath is having a good time, Clavicus Vile feels a bit embarrassed because of the bad behavior of Barbas (his dog). Sanguine is drunk again and Hermaeus Mora is far too heavy and to big for his seat...and Malacath is quite pissed off. And Sithis...he seems to enjoy their debate and waits for the opportunity to snag the dragonborn

So the original create of this had a female Argonian as there oc. Vulonaara would fit in well in my realm of the Pugiles lucet but first I could use some cheese.

Akatosh interrupts the debate with his booming voice: "ENOUGH! Your petty squabbles are pointless! Vulonaara is Dovahkiin, Dragonborn, as with all previous Dovahkiin I hold dominion over where her soul shall go" the eldest god's words drew deathly glares from all the Deadra present but none of them were foolish enough to attack the lord of the Adra. "For ending the fallen one Miirak, and slaying my son the world eater her place is to be none other than Sovngarde with the rest of her dragonblood kin".

For all Argonians, consuming the sap of the Hist once they hatch is what gains them their souls. Upon death, an Argonian's soul travels back to the Hist, to be later given to another hatchling (Reincarnation). Though the Hist do acknowledge Sithis.
But since she possesses a Dragon's Soul, would she be tied to Akatosh?
And the Nord hearoes in Sovngarde said that there would be a place there with them for the Dragonborn.

Possibly more players to add to the meeting

Lol this is just bloody fantastic. Great job. I love it. Also is it ok by you if i use of the words spoken by the deadric princes as quotes. I have an event in my own personal elder scrolls canon timeline called the "cosmic debate" which is basically the deadric lords and ladies deciding who gets the dovakhins soul after his passing away. Ill send you a link so you can check it out

False, Sithis didn't created daedras. He's just a false daedra. Astrid is just a stupid girl, she's not clever enough to realize that the daedras are more powerful than Sithis, and sithis is just a moron. The daedras are everything, and Sithis, what is he? The void! He is nothing, he's not existing!!!

Huh... Don't... don't pay attention, it was... kinda strange. And, I think I was a lil' bit angry when I did write this... a year ago.
So, it was about Sithis who could has created the deadric princes. But this is false, 'cause the deadric princes are not linked to sithis in any way. If you listen to Mankar Kamoran in Oblivion, even Mundus is a daedric plane. But, huh, Sithis is more like a bad god than a daedric prince 'cause he doesn't take the souls by corrupt you (like Sheogorath, or Hermora) but by believe in him (like a god). The murders are kind of sacrifices, to make the soul go to Sithis, like when you're pityful, Stendarr will get your soul, y'know?
Don't think about it anymore ^^

For one, the Sithis the Dark Brotherhood worship most likely is not actually Sithis, but rather Mephala, as is the Night Mother. Also, the Daedric Princes (save for Malacath and Dagon) are linked to Sithis, they are the Et'Ada created by the intermingling of the concepts of Sithis and Anuiel, whereas the Aedra (who Malacath once was, under the name of Trinimac) and Magne-Ge (who Meridia was once the most powerful of, under the name of Merid-Nunda) and Aetheric Spirits were created purely from Anuiel. Sithis is more powerful than the princes, it's just not sentient. The cosmic hierarchy goes:
                        ANU THE AMARANTH
                  Anu (stasis) & Padomay (Chaos)
Anuiel (Reality, the Aurbis) & Sithis (Nothingness, Oblivion)
The various Et'Ada and ascended mortals
                                Mortals
Everything above the Et'Ada are more concepts than beings. and the Aedra don't take souls, instead, Mortal souls usually either go to a Daedric Plane, an afterlife created through Mythopeia (such as the Far Shores or Sovngarde), the Hist (if they're an Argonian), or in most cases, the Dreamsleeve. Also, Daedra don't normally corrupt you into getting their souls, they just, get you to worship you. But Heroes are an issue, because they're a lot harder to control, but also a lot more powerful, so instead they just make you become their champions.

Thaumcraftologue In reply to pokestar14 [2018-09-14 12:33:41 +0000 UTC]

Quite accurate. But don't forget that there are daedric princes who are more powerful than others (and, I can't remember where, there is a book where you can read that, for example, Herameus Mora is one of the oldest and powerful daedric prince, whereas Periyte or Malacath are less - And Jyggalag was, during his time, the most powerful daedric prince, which is why the other daedric princes punished him by turning him into Sheogorath, before the Grey March was broken by the Hero of Kvatch). So, I think that even if you help Periyte (in Skyrim, for example), your soul will more belong to Hermaeus Mora as you become his emissary instead of Septimus Signus, and that you become his champion in "Dragonborn".

My advice on where your soul goes when your hero die is that more you works with a daedric prince, more your soul will be "corrupted" or "affected" (take it as a curse or a bless, according on your point of view about daedras ^^), just like Lovecraft thought the fact to work with the ancient gods. They give you power, knowledge, strenght... And as counterpart, their influence on you, your mind and your soul will grow (until you completely are under their control, just as Miraak was (as he was killed because he wanted to leave Apocrypha, which is a proof that daedric princes want you for them if they give you their powers).

So... Yes, they don't "control" you, exactly, but I think that their influence grow on you as you work with them. And, yes, I agree that Sithis is more a concept (a personalisation of the void, as you can see in the Dark Brotherhood) than a thinking and conscient entity.

The debate is large and the Daedra/Mortals relations are complicated and various, as we can see it in the different games, but we should spend a lot of time to establish rules about it. However, it could be fun to do so.

The Daedra actually are implied to all be around the same strength save for Jyggalag, who you already explained, and Nocturnal, the Ur-Dra. Peryite being the weakest is implied to more be because he doesn't really care about mortals, so he seems weaker to Mortals because he's always focusing more on other Daedra.

Sithis is the all empowering force of darkness and the creator of the Daedra.

Being the Listener she should go to the Void like Lucien and the Champion od Cyrodiil to directly serve the Dreadfather.

Sithis is also non-sentient. And is well, a void, souls don't go there. And the Sithis the DB worship is most likely Mephala.

Plus, the CoC became Sheo as Mike pointed out.
