I love how the tail was made, it looks like fish fins or flower petals.

I seriously thought this was an anthro piece when I saw it in the teeny tiny thumbnail in someone's favorites. But you made the clothing seem like parts of an animal, which is really interesting. I love your color choice, and I love the expression. The values and shading is also amazing. Very well done.

This came out great! I like the background a lot more now! :} THough, I dont know if there should be as many purple shadows(from light bounce) in her shirt since there isnt as much purple in the BG anymore, but that could just be a stylistic contrast you did. :}

heh....wow.....very impressive work.....i didnt know u were gonna color it and basically bring it to life!....this is just awesome....considering im faving this piece for a second time, just this time as the complete piece........and i almost cant add anything to the comments and critisizm cause there were three good artists before meh lol...and they got most of the points that i saw.....so i mostly second wat they said....and to try and add meh own thoughts....the lighting, shading, and coloring on her skin....beautiful....u did a very good job on that....and its subtle enough that its perfect....not exaggerated or underdone...but in the middle there so it fits the piece perfectly....and it is beleiveable as skin...that can be very hard to do, so major props for that......now the only thing i can suggest for the tail is making the tip darker *sorry for picking on the tail as wells* but check out some fox pics...and foxes tails end in a darker tip....so thats just if u want it slightly more foxlike....other than that the tail is just wonderful....i love it!.....the graduating colors and the ruffles are very impressive.....and i love the way it sorta swirls around her...reminded meh very much of a spanish influence....like a lot of spanish/mexican dresses and styles.....plus the dancing.....i also really like the tied up slits in her skirt...that as was said, shows great attention to detail...overall i like how u did her clothes...the blue satinish look of her skirt goes very wells with her orange shirt and bandana.....and it works out quite nicely because of the contrast......the ruffles on the hem of her skirt i would touch up a little bit....they just look a slight bit plain compared with the elaborate tail rigth next to them....but dont overdo that or it would look tacky.....but the contrast or her white ruffly hem and the kinda lacey white bra go very wells with the outfit....the white brings out the other colors and brightens them a bit.....and last but not least i love the background...it fits so wells and brings the picture to life....and it definitely fits the lighting on her...or should i say vice versa...lol....so all in all u have done a marvelous job and i am greatly impressed......u got meh vote!....heh....cheers....

i think this is the best one yet. the background fits perfectly this time. yaaay~! if you dont mind me asking, though, how come you changed the tip of the tail/dress? it was white before, ne? it was a nice contrast with the rest of the 'tail' and with the rest of the piece as well. but anyhow, it still looks great....i cant compete against something like this~!!! XD

I love this picture. It feels so alive, and the background seems to add even more movement.
Her expression is perfect, but her left eye bothers me... Like, it looks exactly like it might if she were closing her eyes in sadness. A little to relaxed to be wink-like... but that's a bit too nit-picky, I suppose.
I love how you managed to make her gloves actually look like fox-fur or that of an animal's! Very tough, I'm sure. The folds are beatuful and as far as I can tell at a glance, flawless! I also love how you added hints of blue to the orange of her over-shirt, like the blue from the skirt is being reflected a little onto the shirt. That is awesome attention to detail.
Her hair works beautifully with the bandanna, rather than the popular look of working against it. The highlights in her hair feel a bit dodgy, but maybe that's what you were aiming for.
The way you shaded her left arm amazes me. It actually looks like her arm is bent slightly, and the shading at (and below) the elbow is perfect.
The trailing ruffling tail piece is absolutely gorgeous. It pulls the whole piece together in those wonderful vibrant oranges and reds. It reminds me very much of what a salsa dancer might wear.
The ruffles themselves, both on the tail and the skirt, are very well done. Rather than the popular lazy-half-assed look, you managed to make it look like there are multiple layers of overlapping fabric and frill. The laces are also well done, and look like hand tied bows.
The highlights on the skirt bother me just a little bit. They look like you simply took a ruler and went straight across, working against the curve of her body. It might look a little more convincing if there were a slight 'u' curve to it.
That's it for my c+c! Sorry for completley picking your pic apart, but I thought it would appreciated.
I love this piece, great job, and good luck with the cover contest! In my oppionion, this pic was well worth the time.
