I remember watching Pingu as a kid. Now that I’m older, revisiting this show, I realized how charming it was.Simple, yet effective, storytelling, combined with endearing characters and comical/humorous themes that still hold up really well in this day and age.
Heck, it never fails to make me laugh when Pingu’s friend, Robby, would go “oH EH EH EH EH EH”, but I digress-
I couldn’t help but create this iconic penguin in my style.
And as I was drawing this piece, whilst listening to Pingu episodes 1-4, I learned something valuable...

What I liked best about that show was it plasteline artstyle that allowed the characters' squashing and stretching to feel natural. It was also funny, even of its humor was rather simple.
