Just like his son, Pyrelio “Red” Naranja was born pretty much in his fathers arms. That’s about where the similarities end however because while his son Flame grew up relatively comfortable, Red grew up at a time where dragons could be seen as dangerous against the tyrant Malefor and mass genocide of dragons was taking place. The second Red hatched from his egg his father had to hide him from Warfang soldiers who were inspecting the home. Reds father happened to have made a stupid decision and Red’s father was shot on the same day Red was born leaving Red’s mother as Red’s only parent. Growing up Red and his mother lived quite poor, Living with one income and two mouths to feed. Once Red was old enough to work, he got a low paying job to help a little with his mother. Once Red became old enough to move out he wasted no time, Red joined a rebellion against the warfang army after all the years of hatred he had for the warfang army killing his father. As more and more of his militia died from the growing forces of the warfang army Red’s name grew more popular as he became a high ranking officer within the rebellion. Once the warfang army heard his name being tossed around they marched their way up to Red’s mothers house and the second she opened the door they shot her dead. This devastated Red as now both of his parents were dead. At this point, Red swore to avenge his mother and father. One of Red’s soldiers walked up to him one day and asked him if he wanted a drink, as anyone else would be, this confused him but he didn’t turn down a free drink and the two went to the bar together. The soldier lifted their helmet revealing a female dragon. Red had specifically stated before only males were allowed to fight but he didn’t bring it up, The female introduced herself as Sapphire. They both drank that night and for the first time since his mother, Red had bonded with someone. Around this time Red was learning a thing or two about his magical abilities. His ability to use both dark and light aether was very impressive even compared to master’s of elements. However he would stop practicing with his element for a few months to focus on Sapphire. He took a break from the rebellion to arrange a secret wedding with Sapphire. Many months later Red and Sapphire had their first child, Red wanted a cool and long name but Sapphire wanted a short and basic name so they settled with both. His name was Pyraflius but he went by Flame, it was the happiest day of Red’s life when his son was born. For the first few years of his sons life Red was the best father he could be. at the same time, a revolution was brewing up in warfang at the is time which required Red to join back into the rebellion and leave his family for a long time, he hugged his now six year old son goodbye and cried a little bit when he walked away from his son.
