Description This was the first flower i saw of the year. It was probably about 65°F and back towards the end of March. It's April 8th, its about 35°F right now and snowed two days ago....i feel like weather is going....a tad bit backwards.

so no bright beautiful spring colors for me yet.

I'm partial to B&W anyway, but I think it enhances most images. And this one is perfect!

i spent 3 or 4 years in a dark room before getting a digital. so b+w is something i will always probably be partial to.

Good for you! I've been doing B&W for over 25 years and still have my own darkroom.

as long as they keep on making the film, chemicals, and everything. i'll keep on printing in the darkroom. i have everything i need for one in my house. expect running water to the room and an enlarger. but i have constant access to one at my collage for now.

I still have my full setup, including the enlarger. Chemicals are getting tough to find around here though...

it sucks. theres one main store that sells everything, especially different format film and different brands of B+W film. but...i got laid off from working there so now its incredibly awkward to get the film i need and want lol

everything is getting harder and harder to find. though theres seems that there will be a surplus of everything online for some time to come.

Sorry about getting laid off!
I think B&W items will be around for a while, but color is about to become incredibly scarce!

Very pretty shot. Did you add a blur to it in photoshop? If you did, I think you could have done without it, looks a little too smooth.

nopes thats natural lens blur i guess you could say. it was shot at 50mm(so roughly 80mm equiv w/ digital crop factor) at f/2.8 or f/1.8...don't remember what lens i was using.. focused close as physically possible creates quite a lot of lens blur.

thank you very much
