You know how Spyro stands upright on his hind legs and his tail and wings are in a contorted pose when he dies by being burned? Imagine if the same thing happened if Gnasty's attacks could turn Spyro into crystal like the other dragons in the first game, only Spyro would be crystal green and he wouldn't fall down, but he would still lose a life.
