Entry for 's Angler Art auction. I've been working it on and off for a few weeks. I made it huge so it could be used as a wallpaper if Brindle should choose (I needed a new one too). Finished it up today because the contest ends in four days and I go out of town in three :'D I might go back and fiddle with some stuff, like adding flowers and other potion affects, but for now it is done.

The two mares depicted here are SFR's Golden Flame 5000 and 4746 ES Hothouse Flower , both of whom are daughters of the ever pretty Golden Girl 509. Daisy is one of my favorite of Brindle's horses (the others being Kiken, Invi, Tristan, and Snowy). I couldn't do them all so I picked Daisy.

The story behind this goes something along the lines of Flame and Daisy, being some flower-oriented mares, decided to spread their flowers to the world. What was once barren desert now sports a small spring and sprawling vegetation. Wherever they walk the green will follow.

Erk, I spent a lot of time and effort on this piece and I'm not sure if it shows ;u; This is the first time I've tried drawing horses realistically, and the first time I've done painting in awhile. I had to go back and redo the mane a few times because I don't know how to paint hair! Same with the grass. The background took up some time as I tried to get it to look dynamic without having to put any vegetation in it. Lots of trail and error there. The easiest part was probably painting the bodies, but even that took a couple hours each.

I'd like to thank everyone who urged me on and told me not to give up while working on this! You guys really pushed me on and got me to do something nice. I'm super proud of myself (at least for the horses' bodies). There are still some things I am unsatisfied with, but the majority came out nice.

I'll be updating a small detail/wallthrough later, for now I'm going to go lay down.
