The third of my birds, from the same book as the other two (page 57 - and I didn't even have to look that up

Actually, the hardest part of this one was the 'white' bits - trying to shade them, but still keep them looking white, and to add some sort of texture, was driving my nuts

A M A Z I N G. I kind of miss the background in this one though. That's just being picky. I think it's because there is the reeds, but not the rest.

I sort of decided when I started these birds that I wouldn't bother much with backgrounds. But yeah, I did seriously consider doing something more with this one.

yes. The loon was very much like that - I knew that I wouldn't be able to get the water looking as good as I'd like...
