As always, I am terribly seasonally inappropriate. I really needed to draw something purely for myself, to avoid total burn-out whilst I work on commissions.I -love- vintage Halloween swag. It has so much more charm than the tacky, latex-coated, fake-blood-encrusted decorations you see today. In particular, I love vintage paper decorations. They always have a very limited --but eye searingly bright-- color palette of orange, green, black, white, and sometimes yellow. They're simple, eye-catching, fun and festive. This is my take on one. :3
So instead of your usual witch and black cat, we have... a croco-mummy and some black snakes! Yep. The croc-thing was inspired by this little guy .

I love the way you turn a cute little croc figurine into an amazing work of art with feisty lines and adorably demonic figures. The coloring's gorgeous too, the washed out black is spiffy and the weight-laden jack-o'-lantern is making me chuckle. YAY SQUEEDGE ARTS.
