Description Some new necklaces I whipped up recently! I've had some fun experimenting with combining resin and polymer clay and I think the results are pretty cute. I was so happy when I finally got my colored ball chains in the mail too, they really help dress the charms up!
Strawberry is my favorite...

You can pick them up and see more photos here in my Etsy store!

Polymer clay, usually either Sculpey or Premo, or both.

Those are really cool I'm actually experimenting with that stuff too C:
I had a question about the borders though. Did you shape it 1st and then glue it? Or like..I'm pretty sure you can't do this, but bake it around the resin?

I did actually bake it around the resin, not sure if you're supposed to, but it worked. I just put them in for the minimum time, but I think if you overbaked them you might have problems. Something I'm experimenting with though is just making the sculpey as a bezel and then pouring the resin afterwards. I'm sure this is safer chemical wise, and it seems to be working very well.

There are lots of tutorials out there on making resin charms now, I just make them first, then I sculpt the little frames around them and bake them. It's just tricky because sometimes if there's something in the charm that will react to the heat sometimes they wont come out well. This sort of thing is a hit or miss process, but usually I get more nice ones than screw ups hehe
