I got the dumbest idea for a character ages ago when sorting through some beetroots, Veggie-Queen / Rootmama.I'm not sure what purpose she would hold, but I'll probably include her in some role of other 'themed' queens; when I learn to code properly. Being able to construct my ideas into something playable would be de' best - till then, into the ideas folder for my stuff.
She guides the lil'babs around, finding good soil for their roots.

The implementation of roots as a tentacular x-travaganza is a great idea and I can't really say I have seen it done all that often if at all, it works awesome! I really adore this design to pieces especially for the colors you used.

I know how you've been complaining on how this picture has been taking a while, it really shows your effort regardless. Your knowledge of color and shape is getting a lot better from how the shape is expressed here. Plus your backgrounds are getting better as well. This image's background isn't spectacular for its detail, but it does have a lot of character in it, as well as a lot of style. I also reallly like how much your style has evolved over time. Though of course you know how I feel about that already from my praise.
Though the only comment I have to make is about the design, but only because of a minor detail. I love the overall design, especially the color scheme and the eyes. The only problem I have is based off of the design, I don't see anything "royal" from this woman. Of course this woman looks much more humanesque than the other root sprite things, but I don't know. I just assumed that either she was an older version of those, or something along those lines.
That's just my opinion though, she looks fine regardless.

What you say about her being a Queen and all is veeery true - odds are if she is included in something I make, she'll probably have little tweaks n' what not. Thanks for all the good words, I'm happy with it! \o/
