Traveled to Anderson, South Carolina to view the total eclipse of the sun. Alas, clouds popped up right before totality so I didn't get the main thing I came for. But both before and after totality the skies were mostly clear.

Made a homemade solar filter for my Bower 650mm-1300mm telephoto lens so I could get really nice shots of the eclipse. This particular photo is about a half-hour after totality, and is basically the first really clear shot I got after the clouds started dissipating. A couple of sunspots are visible, too.

Canon 700D, Bower 650mm-1300mm zoom lens (approx 1200mm in this shot), Spectrum Telescope solar filter material, tripod.
