Nice to know I'm not the only one that wants to see some development between them...now that Shinichi has confessed his love for Ran, I really want to see a conclusion for the series.
Even the side stories aren't that interesting anymore (every trick in the mystery book has been used, and then some).

Yeah.. It's like Gosho's stalling for time because he doesn't know what to do or something. I mean, you don't go teasing a new plot dilemma until you're willing to give the audience some conclusion to it in a decent amount of time. As of now, we've got:
- Out of the three newest characters, who's Bourbon?
- Is the guy with the scar really Akai?
- Are Akai and Subaru connected somehow?
- WHAT'S RAN GOING TO FRICKIN DO ABOUT SHINICHI CONFESSING TO HER??
Right after Subaru showed up, my sister and I made a pocky bet on whether or not he was a good guy. Years later and we still don't know who won the bet. -__-'

Yea...so many questions, and we've been waiting on some of the answers for years.
Particularly, I'd like to know the answer to your last one.
Here's some more:
-Who's side is Vermouth really on?
-Is Sera related to Akai?
-What does Sera want with Haibara?
There are prolly a lot of others, but I'm tired and can't think of all of them. More questions are coming up, and it's taking too long to get to the conclusion.
The last time the BO was involved in something, I had to do a double-check to remember what they were up to the last time because it had been so long since they appeared.
I say, 15+ years is long enough; give us an (official) ending.
I say "official", because I've written at least two stories with possible endings to the series, and I'm not the only one. XD

Yeah, I've read some great fanfics of this series. Seems to lend itself well for fanfiction, come to think of it. Probably because of all the unanswered plot threads.. It's like the fans can write the show better than he can.
