To put it simply, I draw a few different pics and then combine them to an animation.
There are many good and free animation softwares around, if you'd like to try.

The software is a program, so yes, you have to download it. To find some sort of software, use google with serach "free gif software"; I find very helpful.these
And I'm sorry, but my computer has already enough projects and stuff, so I'm propably not able to do it to you.

I made him *less* chubby than he was in a reference pic. I think it's becouse of that plant around him.
