ENG~Sorry if anything in the dialogue is misspelled or with grammatical errors, I wrote this two years ago and honestly don't want to correct anything. xD Forgive me.
Drawings made in 2020 and of course since then a bit has changed as far as the appearance of this character is concerned, although slightly ;v The character remained the same~
Beth was originally created as a character for... sort of a role play? Well, a very unprofessional and rather chaotic role play. xd It was more like writing stories together with others on Blogspot and having various adventures with random people who joined the blog ;v I was probably about 13-15 at the time? Old times~
Unfortunately, some people stopped writing and blogging, some quit, then there was some drama and finally the blog collapsed ;/ And I also moved away from Beth's story. I really liked that character and at the same time I abandoned her because I missed the blog too much and I resented that the role play would never be finished. ;/ But welp. I rewrote her story a bit and fit her into my universe. As well as other side characters who are also an important part of her story. I compensate them for the years in forgotten~ <3
I wanted to do something like character study where I more or less portray what Beth is like in appearance, character, and behavior. She suffers from what I would call a fantasy version of hemophilia, hence the nose/gum bleeds and joint pains. She has been very sickly since childhood. Her soul is able to keep her fairly functional, but her illnesses are congenital, so her own aura is not able to fight the disease very effectively ;/ She also has a droopy right ear and eyelid. In the original story, she had a scar on the right side of her face after being struck by one of the Elders in anger, but I decided to cut that out (you can see the part at the end where she argues with one of the Elders and insults him and their deities). The wound damaged a nerve in her eye and ear, but I decided to cut that out and now I'm not sure how to explain it - congenital, perhaps? Or in her childhood when she was attacked by one of her cruel peers? I keep thinking about it…
Speaking of childhood, it wasn't easy either because she was abandoned by her biological parents. Raphael, mentioned in the dialogue, is the local doctor/herbalist/medic/whatever and her adoptive dad. The story is that little Beth started to get sick and no one in her home village was able to help or explain what exactly the illness was and what was happening to the little one (her ailment is rare and the local doctors hadn't heard of it). So the parents decided to take their daughter to a village a two days away, where Raphael lives - considered an authority in the art of medicine. Unfortunately, he too didn't know what was wrong with her, but he promised to do everything he could to help. Days passed, a solution didn't appear... and the parents decided to give up on their daughter. The species has a lot of pride and values strength and utility - the little sickly female didn't look like something that could benefit the community. So one evening, without a word, they left the village and headed for home - without Beth. No one said it was an easy decision for them... but a young, sickly and lonely Beth didn't consider it. Her parents were suddenly gone, and she was left alone in a strange place, with a strange male who was giving her various, strange medications. She still had hope for a while, but quickly realized that she had been abandoned - society doesn't want beast like her. Raphael continued his therapy and attempts to cure - or at least alleviate the symptoms - the young one. His friends and family didn't understand why. Her parents had unequivocally decided her fate, the gods themselves decided her fate through disease. Raphael, however, was stubborn and proud - the inability to cure her was like a stain on his honor, and if she was going to die anyway then at least they can search for a cure until then - so they can save another sick being in the future. So he told the beasts around him. And in solitude, where no one was looking, he would hug the weeping Beth, comforting her and assuring her that he was here. He told her interesting stories. He fed her. He played with her. He looked for every way to relieve the pain and stop the bleeding, to cure the disease. Not for society. For her.
Raphael is the only person Beth trusts 100% and has a great deal of respect and love for him. Over time, the beasts of the village have come to accept the fact that Beth has become their doctor's daughter, and they try not to tease her (at least not overtly or spectacularly), so as not to get in trouble with such a respected person as Raphael. Despite this, Beth still keeps to herself and is the black sheep - she doesn't contribute much to the community (she doesn't have much ability, nor is she strong or resilient because of her illness), she knows about plants and healing, which her adoptive father taught her, but she is reluctant to help the sick ones. She despises most of the community's professed truths and absolutely condemns their beliefs. She is a flesh-and-blood anti-theist ;v Beth is grumpy and very distrustful of others - she assumes, top-down, that the other beasts are negative towards her and want to laugh at her or humiliate her. This stems from her experiences and the fact that she was actually bullied for much of her childhood. She is generally averse to social interaction by her belief that everyone hates her. Beth tries to live her life and not get in the way of others. She's aloof and cynical. A few people know her softer side - Raphael, his partner Palmira, Leila (the strange female next door). And young children. No matter how strange it sounds, Beth enjoys the company of younger children, has a lot of patience with them, and cares about them (that drawing where she runs and yells "NO!" is when she's trying to stop some kid from potentially dangerous behavior). Mainly because their society has not yet managed to instill in them the ideology that she is a worthless trash. Beth doesn't think others are inherently evil, it's society and imposed patterns that make them cruel and ruthless to the weakness. So she tries to instill compassion, understanding and empathy in little ones as long as she can. With little effect. But it's always something...
And she should swear more. I didn't include that in these drawings. xDD
Fun fact: Beth's real name is Elizabeth! Raphael doesn't know this, because when her parents came for help they only addressed the little one as "Beth". Beth herself is rather aware that her name is just a nickname, but she doesn't think it's important to tell anyone about it. She prefers to be addressed as "Beth."

Przepraszam, jeśli coś w dialogach jest źle napisane, albo z błędami, pisałam to dwa lata temu i szczerze mówiąc, nie chce mi się niczego poprawiać. xD Wybaczcie.
Rysunki wykonane w 2020 roku i oczywiscie od tego czasu nieco się zmieniło jeżeli chodzi o wygląd tej postaci, chociaż nieznacznie ;v Charakter pozostał ten sam~
Beth pierwotnie powstała jako postać do… takiego jakby role play’a? Cóż, bardzo nieprofesjonalnego i dość chaotycznego role play’a. xd Polecało to bardziej na pisaniu wspólnie opowiadań na Blogspot i przeżywaniu różnych przygód z randomowymi ludźmi, którzy dołączyli do bloga ;v Miałam wtedy chyba z 13-15 lat? Stare czasy~
Niestety, część ludzi porzuciła pisanie i bloga, część zrezygnowała, potem doszła jeszcze jakaś drama i koniec końców blog upadł ;/ No i ja też odsunęłam się od historii Beth. Bardzo lubiłam tę postać i jednocześnie porzuciłam ją, bo zbyt tęskniłam i miałam żal, że ten role play nigdy nie zostanie ukończony. ;/ No ale cóż. Przeredagowałam trochę jej historię i wpasowałam do mojego uniwersum. Jak również inne, poboczne postacie, które również są ważną częścią jej historii. Wynagradzam im te lata w zapomnieniu~ <3
Chciałam zrobić coś ala studium postaci, gdzie mniej więcej przedstawię jaka Beth jest z wyglądu, charakteru i zachowania. Cierpi ona na coś, co nazwałabym fantasy wersją hemofilii, stąd krwawienia z nosa/dziąseł i bóle stawów. Jest ona od dziecka bardzo chorowita. Jej dusza potrafi utrzymywać ją w stanie w miarę funkcjonalnym, ale jej choroby są wrodzone, zatem aura własna nie jest w stanie zbyt skutecznie walczyć z chorobą ;/ Ma też opadnięte prawe ucho i powiekę. W oryginalnej historii miała bliznę po prawej stronie twarzy, po tym jak została w gniewie uderzona przez jednego z członków Starszyzny, ale postanowiłam to wyciąć (fragment widać na końcu, gdzie kłóci się z jednym ze Starszyzny i znieważa go oraz ich bóstwa). Rana uszkodziła nerw w oku i uchu, ale postanowiłam to wyciąć i teraz nie jestem pewna jak to wyjaśnić - być może coś wrodzonego, jak inne przypadłości? Albo w dzieciństwie, gdy została zaatakowana przez któregoś z okrutnych rówieśników? Wciąż o tym myślę…
A propos dzieciństwa, to nie było łatwe również z tego powodu, że została porzucona przez biologicznych rodziców. Wspomniany w dialogu Raphael to miejscowy lekarz/zielarz/znachor/cokolwiek i jej adopcyjny tato. Historia taka, że mała Beth zaczęła chorować i nikt w jej rodzinnej wiosce nie był w stanie pomóc ani wyjaśnić, co to dokładnie za choroba i co się z małą dzieje (jej przypadłość jest rzadka i okoliczni lekarze o niej nie słyszeli). Więc rodzice postanowili zabrać córkę do oddalonej o dobre dwa dni drogi wioski, gdzie mieszka Raphael - uznawany za autorytet w sztuce lekarskiej. Niestety i on nie wiedział, co małej dolega, ale obiecał zrobić wszystko co w jego mocy, aby pomóc. Dni mijały, rozwiązanie nie pojawiało się… aż rodzice postanowili zrezygnować z córki. Gatunek ten jest bardzo dumny i ceni sobie siłę oraz użyteczność - mała chorowita samiczka nie wyglądała jak coś, co mogłoby przysłużyć się społeczności. Więc pewnego wieczoru, bez słowa, opuścili wioskę i wyruszyli do domu - bez Beth. Nikt nie mówił, że była to dla nich łatwa decyzja… ale młoda, chora i osamotniona Beth nie brała tego pod uwagę. Jej rodzice nagle zniknęli, a ona została sama w obcym miejscu, z obcym samcem, który podawał jej różne, dziwne leki. Jeszcze przez jakiś czas miała nadzieję, ale szybko zrozumiała, że została porzucona - społeczeństwo nie chce takich jak ona. Raphael kontynuował terapię i próby uleczenia - albo chociaż załagodzenia objawów - młodej samiczki. Jego bliscy nie wiedzieli po co. Rodzice jednoznacznie wydali na nią wyrok, sami bogowie wydali na nią wyrok poprzez choroby. Raphael jednak był uparty i dumny - niemożność wyleczenia jej była jak plama na jego honorze, a jeśli i tak miała umrzeć to przynajmniej mogą do tego czasu szukać lekarstwa - dzięki czemu w przyszłości ocalą inne chore istnienie. Tak mówił bestiom wokół. A w samotności, gdzie nikt nie patrzył, przytulał płaczącą Beth, pocieszał ją i zapewniał, że jest tutaj. Opowiadał jej ciekawe historie. Karmił ją. Bawił się z nią. Szukał wszelkich sposobów by uśmierzyć ból i powstrzymać krwotok, by wyleczyć chorobę. Nie dla społeczeństwa. Dla niej.
Raphael jest jedyną osobą, której Beth stuprocentowo ufa i darzy go ogromnym szacunkiem oraz miłością. Z czasem bestie z wioski zaakceptowały fakt, że Beth stała się jakby córką ich lekarza i starają się jej nie dokuczać (przynajmniej nie jawnie i zbyt widowiskowo), żeby nie podpaść tak szanowanej osobie jaką jest Raphael. Mimo to Beth wciąż trzyma się na uboczu i jest czarną owcą - niewiele wnosi do społeczności (nie ma zbytnio możliwości, ani nie jest silna, ani wytrzymała przez swoją chorobę), zna się na roślinach i leczeniu, czego nauczył ją adopcyjny ojciec, jednak niechętnie pomaga chorym. Gardzi większością wyznawanych przez społeczność prawd i absolutnie potępia ich wierzenia. To antyteistka z krwi i kości ;v Beth jest zrzędliwa i bardzo nieufna wobec innych - odgórnie zakłada, że bestie są do niej negatywnie nastawienie i chcą ją wyśmiać lub poniżyć. Co wynika z jej przeżyć i tego, że faktycznie przez znaczną część dzieciństwa była obiektem nękania. Ogólnie jest niechętna do interakcji społecznych przez swoje przeświadczenie, że wszyscy jej nienawidzą. Stara się żyć i nie wchodzić w drogę innym. Jest oschła i cyniczna. Nieliczni znają jej łagodniejszą stronę - Raphael, jego partnerka Palmira, Leila (dziwna samica z sąsiedztwa). Oraz małe dzieci. Nieważne jak dziwnie by to nie brzmiało - Beth lubi towarzystwo młodszych dzieci, ma do nich dużo cierpliwości i troszczy się o nie (ten rysunek, gdzie biegnie i krzyczy “NO!” to sytuacja, gdy próbuje powstrzymać jakieś dziecko przez potencjalnie niebezpiecznym zachowaniem). Głównie dlatego, że nie zdążyły przesiąknąć ichniejszą ideologią, jakoby była nic niewartym śmieciem. Beth nie uważa, że inni są źli z natury, to społeczeństw i narzucone wzorce kreują ich na okrutnych i bezwzględnych wobec słabszych. Zatem próbuje zaszczepić w małych współczuję, zrozumienie i empatię póki może. Z małym skutkiem. Ale zawsze coś…
No i powinna więcej przeklinać. Nie uwzględniłam tego w tych rysunkach. xDD
Fun fact: Beth tak naprawdę nazywa się Elizabeth! Raphael o tym nie wie, bo gdy jej rodzice przyszli po pomoc zwracali się do małej tylko i wyłącznie “Beth”. Sama Beth jest raczej świadoma faktu, że jej imię jest tylko skrótem, ale nie uważa za istotne, by komukolwiek o tym powiedzieć. Woli, by mówiono do niej “Beth”.
Moja Beth… tak żałuję, że cię porzuciłam. ;-;
Oczywiście inne ważniejsze postacie takie jak Raphael, Palmira, Leila i reszta też dostały swoje remake’i ;d Ale o nich może nieco później~
