Description
The main 'villain' in FATM: The Beginning, insofar as there IS a villain in the entire series. Leader of the Holy Court/Vehmgericht of Westphalia, an institution that has by the time of FATM: The Beginning decayed from a secret tribunal, the only remaining fair and free court in the land during the time of anarchy after Henry the Lion, into a proto-Nazi gang of thugs and hate-mongers officially classed as bandits. As of 'The Beginning', Armander has been employed by Levi Coen (the patriarch of the Coen clan) to exterminate the Stone clans (the Einsteins, Bronsteins, Goldsteins, Berksteins, etc.) and make it look like a hate crime, thus eliminating their trade rivals and driving up prices in one fell swoop. Unfortunately for the Coens, Armander then proceeds to turn on his paymasters, declaring the Peace Of Westphalia an independent state. This results in the Vehmgericht being drawn into conflict with the forces of Israel Charlemagne, a conflict which ends with Armander having his foot chopped off and being hurled off Sparrenburg Tower.
