Description I was sufficiently inspired by QuantumBranching 's Dharmic World to try to produce something similar; whilst i didn't get nearly as far I did work up this basemap based on the Honil Gangni Yeokdae Gukdo Ji Do - a 15th century Korean map - rendered in the UCS style. You may sense that the cartographers didn't have much use for the rest of the world - the Korean peninsula is presented as an aesthetic counterpoint to and equal in size to the whole of Europe, Africa (featuring a large inland lake) and Arabia. India is strangely distorted into a corner of a roughly square middle continent and South East Asia is reduced to a tiny island chain equal in size to Jeju. This earliest version of the map didn't even deign to include Japan beyond Kyushu.
