I wish for my desires,I wish for my needs,
I wish with a hunger,
A hunger I must feed.
I wish on the time.
I wish on yearly flames.
I wish on the chimes.
I wish for my aims.
Some may pray,
They pray everywhere.
The pray on the couch,
In the house, on the stairs.
They pray in their room.
They pray on their bed.
But not me, no,
I wish instead.
I wish on the world,
With very high hopes.
I wish on the strangers,
Who run and elope.
I wish on the lashes,
That fall from my eyes.
I wish on the stars,
That fill the great sky.
My friend, my dear friend,
Promise me this,
You'll wish 'til the end,
With an iron fist.
And when the time comes,
When you need a real wish,
I hope you'll come through,
Because sometimes, just sometimes,
Wishes come true.
