I recently got this Fruits Basket craze when I just finished reading the manga a few weeks ago and so I decided to make a Fruits Basket wallpaper. I really hope people haven't forgotten about Fruits Basket because the last submission I saw in the gallery was 8 months ago!so I dont know if you'll still appreciate this wallpaper. I browsed through my scans of Fruits Basket and found that most of them were already walled and I finally found this
I reconstructed the some parts because The scan was cut in the middle... the hard part was the basket! You might be wondering about the eyes, but the original scan or Fruit's Basket art was already like that--> check the original scan.
At first I wanted to retain the BG and color of the original scan, but I find it unattractive and dull and so I changed the color and door. When I finished the wallpaper, I saw that there is still something lacking and so I drew the interior of the house vectored the frame and it's angle then place a painting in it which is from [link] Perspective really choked me to death..Then I also thought of adding flower petals. I made them blurry because they are near us the the focus is on the characters so is the painting behind them.
I wanted to say a big thanks to our gradient abuser, Tens for the super big help!
Also thanks to the sweetest Kitten, my KHR & VK -mate Trofi and also to my cute friend Yamionpu for all the help!

re: eyes. The manga always portrayed Tohru as having brown eyes, Yuki as having grey, and Kyo as having something that varied between orange and red depending on what year the art was from.

Well that is the effect of Sunset. Character blending is important. You can't have a night scene while the characters' eyes are brightly colored and vice versa.

That isn't what I meant; what I meant was that I have seen comments on various other artwork in the past angrily demanding to know why Tohru's eyes aren't blue.
I don't honestly care for the cartoon, preferring the manga, its color scheme, and the fact that the plot makes more sense. So this artwork with a Yuki with grey eyes and Tohru having brown ones makes me happy.

It runs rampant through the dark and terrifying land of fanfiction.
There have been small wars fought over whether or not Tohru has blue eyes! Imaginary buildings destroyed! Helpless refugees! Mass casualties! Imperial anime purists vs the manga elite. All over whether Yuki has **purple** hair or grey.
Well okay, over other stuff too. Anyway, the books make me happy.

I found this image under one of your other usernames with the same description on a different site. As such, I saw the original scans you took. Regardless of the inherent copyright issues involved, the amount of effort you put into this is quite impressive. This is gorgeous.
(I confess I'm not certain whether the white things are sheets hanging out to dry or curtains.)

Are you sure you found it in some other sites? with the same description? If that's the case then maybe that's from animepaper.net coz my dA and Minitokyo have the same username whereas Animepaper have a "g" attached to srsn.
White things are definitely laudry... coz it's impossible to have curtains by the door especially in a traditional japanese house.

If I can find a nice picture for it... or if I still have the urge to wall a Fruits Basket. I made that wallpaper when I had a Fruits Basket craze way back last year so I need to grasp the feeling if I were to make one again for inspiration.
