Description Since Spyro and the Skylanders have been a part of my childhood, it's only fitting that I should talk about it's Netflix exclusive TV show especially now that Season 3 has just been released. Now the series follows Spyro and many other fan favorite Skylanders as they defend the Skylands from the forces of evil like Kaos (Voiced by Invader Zim), Kaossandra (Kaos' Mom), and the Doom Raiders. Season 1 was mainly just to familiarize our selves with the characters, the world they live in, and what to expect from the show for most of the journey. But Season 2 gives us an interesting plot about Spyro trying to find every thing about his dragon ancestry that Eon tries to hide from him.(THIS IS WHERE THE SPOILERS KICK IN) It isn't until towards the end of the series that Eon finally tells Spyro that his kind was turned evil by one of the darkest beings in Skylands and his twin brother, Strykore. So Eon was forced to send Spyro's dragon kind to another realm using unfamiliar magic making it unknown as to where he sent them. This distraught Spyro and made him look for his kind on his own which leads him to Malefor the Undead Dragon king and gets captured by him. Meanwhile, Kaos is now bent on releasing Strykore after discovering that he is (Supposedly) his father and that Eon and Kaossandra sealed him away in a dimensional rift and the only way he can be released is to devour the Light of the noblest Skylander. So once Kaos hears of Spyro's capture, he takes Spyro back to Strykore and has him devour all of the light within Spyro; Which not only frees Strykore but turn Spyro into the evil Dark Spyro (Voiced by Jason Ritter from Gravity Falls). This is where Season 3 kicks in with Strykore trying to find the Iron Fist of Arkus to destroy the Core of Light, the source of all light and harmony in Skylands. When Dark Spyro and Kaos finds the location of the map to Arkus within the Skylander Academy, he sends Dark Spyro to act as a spy within the Academy to find the Map to Arkus. When Spyro gets back to the Academy, his best friend Stealth Elf grow suspicious of Spyro and how he's changed since going missing. Though as the season progressed we see Dark Spyro grow soft while hunting for the map which is inside a box that can only be opened by those pure of heart. Once he's discovered by Stealth Elf a fight breaks out between them. But when Dark Spyro just couldn't torture his best friend anymore the box opened to reveal the map to Arkus which Kaos then takes back to Strykore leaving Dark Spyro in the Skylanders hands. They then create this potion to cure Spyro of his darkness, but it instead separates Spyro from his dark self. A Climatic battle between the Spyros if fought; which Spyro barely wins thanks to his friends' support. In the end, Strykore betrayed Kaos which caused him to take the Iron Fist for himself to destroy the Core of Light which the Skylanders with the help of Crash and Coco Bandicoot try to stop. Meanwhile Eon and Kaossandra have one last battle with Strykore which leads him back into the dimensional rift. The two head back to help the others and it's finally revealed that Eon is the true father to Kaos and that they only kept it a secret to protect him. But Kaos still tries to smash the Core which Eon manages to block but at the cost of his life or so it seemed until the next day where he appears in Spyro's room telling him that he discovered a route to his dragon kind but they will be gone for sometime. Spyro accepts the offer and heads of with Eon to finally meet his family. As a whole the series was an awesome take on the Skylanders series and and the best show I've seen on Netflix by far. The Spyro and Dark Spyro fight at well as Dark Spyro himself was amazing and from how they finished Season 3 really felt like a satisfying conclusion to the whole series. As to if the series gets a 4th season, I'm not entirely sure but all I can say is this is one show I'll remember for a long time. 9.5/10
