Description

While doing my usual experimentations, I figured out that adding a "Levels adjustments layer" and playing around with the settings eliminates gradients but at the same time, it messes with the color of "true darks" of your image. Ehh... atleast now I have two ways of removing/smoothing out gradients in pictures with a lot of black space.

To sum everything up of my journey so far of gradient removal/smoothing,

The "Levels Adjustment" method seems to add a nice effect while sacrificing "true darks" of your picture.

Adding a "Noise filter" and setting the layer style to Soft Light and setting the Layer Opacity between 5-15% tricks the eye into thinking the gradient has been removed/smoothed out by replacing it with a "grainy" feel.

Both methods seem to be "eye for an eye".

The journey continues...
