i have killed my red pencils.funny story behind this one. see, i was at a band concert, and i was really, really bored. so i looked through my music forlder and started drawing on the back of a piece of music. it started out as a tiny zero2 with giant red ribbons everywhere. then i added kirby. and since it still felt really empty, i tried drawing ribbon for the first time by memory. by the time the concert was over, i had the sketch of the final product done and waiting for color. i ended up outlining it before i looked up proper references for ribbon, which is why she looks weird.
not super happy with it, the background turned out really scratchy. but hey, it gave me something to do

Maybe is that what i need, but i really suck in drawing humans. I only drawed Sisse 2x! And i always use the eyes you drawed her the 1st time

you just have to have some good examples of people around you. try to take note of how their faces are shaped, and the proportions of their arms and legs.

theres some prisma color pencils at the staples by safeway for about $7. Theyre pretty good.

For a memory drawing, Ribbon looks excellent. (One of the best I've seen. And her hair texture wins!) Kirby's expression is simultaneously cute and badass, and your Crystal Gun coloring is as beautiful as ever. I LOVE the iridescent gradients. (And I just noticed the zigzags of light between the spires! Awesome touch!)
I've noticed you have a very specific style of drawing Zero Two. You draw him with a dark, almost metallic gold halo, and his wings are always huge, slender, sweeping streamer things. It's unique, and I like it. Also, the outlines fading from white to dark red along his outer feathers was really cool.
All in all, this is a great piece, filled with little artistic nuances that make it very appealing to look at. Well done, and may your red pencils rest in peace.

i think it has something to do with the graphic limitations: you can't make as tight or smooth a circle.

Bored at a band concert? I'm not quite sure if that's possible, but whatever. However you got to the result.
Never really imagined Ribbon with hands that weren't just circles. It turned out really nice here, though something does seem slightly off with the left hand.

well, i was one of the people playing at the concert. i was waiting in a small room backstage with 20+ hyperactive teenagers who had access to out-of-tune instruments. im sooooo glad i had earplugs.
