i like it
quality, imo, is a little.. meh.
i very much like this shot.. dunno why
maybe eyes are overrated, maybe they are cliche, but i dont care and if you dont like this photo because its an eye shot then you should die.
but yes, im happy about this one.
i think you can tell what lighting i used

the multicoloring of the eye reminds me of Sidhe warriors in the Laurell K Hamilton "Meredith Gentry" series. very fantastic.

yes, i admit the fact that it was an eye first attracted me to it.
but..
it's a really nice shot and i love the wrinkles. not to point them out or anything but it's beautiful [everyone says so

Firstly, nicely taken shot. Secondly, great colours to be showing off in it. Good detail and razor focus. No complaints there. Great looking eye

After looking carefully, I can see the bridge of the nose is causing too much under-exposure of the left side of the eye (it's reflecting lots of light). The DoF is a tricky bugger to master in macro photos - and I ain't one to tell you how to master it

I'm glad I got to see this shot as it's an inspirition for me to try and do as well as you've done here. Don't be fooled by my critique, I'm no expert as my gallery shows and it's easier to pick the holes in something than to try and match it

you said the bridge of the nose is causing underexposure..did you mean 'by the bridge of the nose'?
anyway, i dont assume it is underexposure, i just think it is more shading, but i dont know
as for the reflection..i like the angle this shot has currently but i could try a different one with different lighting angle
its just hard sometimes

taking different pieces from different artists and putting them all together
and your piece! has caught my eye!
if you wouldnt mind Id like to use it

Even though eyes may seem cliche, you never get tired of them. The color, the shape... the way the pigments seem to flow into one another... it's just something that never ceases to amaze me. Beautiful shot!
