This is one of my "Fifth Empire" characters.
Veiliar crawling out of the water in a rather bad mood and ready to twist some heads off, is something that happened on more that one occasion - in some parts of the world of Fifth Empire there is a believe that evil spirits can't cross ruining water, and will disappear if thrown in... A largely unfunded believe that only works occasionally on hell hounds (they don't like water, but will cross it if motivated enough), but people keep truing, again and again, and you can judge by the fact of how often Vei ends up soaked to the bone just how bad his reputation is
