This piece basically is just kind of touching on how both of them have adapted to the sudden changes in their lives. Stevie, already struggling, finds herself poorly coping with her sudden demotion amidst the departures and deaths of many of her friends. Mako, on the other hand, is thriving and flourishing with his happy family, and supportive tribe.
