Description
A cute little beast inspired by a detail in the Karlsruhe Passion. The spine starts out at 8mm thick at the cross, but tapers radically in all directions from there.
The scabbard has a wooden core and two bypieces. While this specific detail doesn't have discernible decoration on the leather cover, all the other Messer scabbards in the same source are, so I had to come up with something that would fit the rest.
The chape is also an interpretation of the source - I'm not quite sure what it wanted to represent, it might be flames, might be an impaled octopus.
