yea pretty much. and it come and goes, working freelance and doing what i can on the side.

how comfortable is that? Is bigger team not faster and more resourceful? It`s probably nice to see something you make yourself... but isnt Riot a good place to do so? With your friends and colleague?

Riot makes what they want to make. Me and many others are just a cog in a wheel churning to make the company money. Its like that with all big studios. If your trying to break into the industry for the first time, riot is deff the best choice to go and learn. For me doing your own thing/being your own boss will always be better than any place then working for anyone else. It's not every ones goal and that's ok, its just mine.

we started using specular maps on things that would benefit from it. Ex. trundle's ice club, anivias's black frost skin. so yes!

i see. im still relatively new to creating handpainted textures so i just wanna verify: is it common/efficient to handpaint highlights in diffuse AND emphasize them in specular/gloss maps? because i feel like that would be overkill opposed to just having "fake lighting" in the diffuse.
