Creatures who have hundreds of souls inside of them, they were originally nothing before they became these monsters (Rotten was just mud, and Spiritomb was a spirit stone), they would become this thanks to something/someone making the objects bear power (Stardust fell on a mud creating Rotten, and 108 spirits were binded to the Spirit stone)
