There's a place online called Spandex World and they have TONS of awesome spandex and will send a bunch of swatches for free (though sometimes it takes the swatches a little while to get to you). They're really great.

Thanks, David. The model is actually me, and it's a wig I bought off of ebay. I really love the character (even before her induction into the Red Lantern Corps) and while the costume has a little more ways to get perfectly there, I think it's on it's way.

I wonder where Mera's rage comes from. I could see why she'd have so much of it, her life hasn't been an easy one (remember when she was kept drugged all the while after the Obsidian Age event?) but that WonderWoman tie in issue hinted at something else.

i think the Wonder Woman #3 of Blackest Night sort of hinted at the source of it being her relationship with Arthur and her hatred of herself over not doing the right thing and telling him how she felt. Might be reading into it too much though. And she hasn't had an easy life what with that and the loss of her child (whether or not she wanted to have one originally, I still think she loved him as her own, and losing a child is hard on any mother.) I guess we'll find out more about it all come Brightest Day!

Looking into it too much is part of the fun. xD

I picked up Brightest Day #0, which is a kind of buildup issue, and she seems to be much happier, though whether that's her just burying her (WW described it as) self-hatred for the sake of Arthur or whether she's genuinely happy again, we'll find out. I have to wonder why Black Manta was in the Lasso/Ring experience as much as he was.

I didn't expect there to be any lasting effects of BN on the ressurected, as I was thinking of it as just a plot device to bring some characters back into the playing field, so its interesting to see that there is going to be some reason for why they were returned to life. I'm waiting to see if it relates to Parallax being taken.

I've been meaning to pick up Brightest Day #0 but just haven't had the time/money/etc, but can't wait to. Blackest Night answered a lot, but it left a lot of great questions unanswered (all my favorites have to do with the Indigo Tribe and why they're all about Abin Sur). I'd sort of thought that Black Manta was in the Lasso/Ring experience as much as he was because of his role in the death of her child? Hm. But anything involving more Black Manta is something I can get into.

And I agree, I'm definitely interested to see why they brought certain people back. A lot of the main players made sense (the Hawks, Aquaman and J'onn). Deadman will be interesting (because when is he not! Love Deadman!) I've heard some speculation from other fans that he'll be the holder of the white light, but who's to know at this point? Also, am hoping that by bringing Max Lord back they don't kinda retcon Diana's killing of him. I thought it was important to her character and her development, so we'll see. Seeing how the bit players who were brought back will pan out will also be interesting.

As I mentioned before, I'm fascinated by the Indigo Tribe and the questions they left so unanswered, and the ones they created. Their oath has Abin Sur's name in it, so he's obviously important to them and their creation. Also, the fact that they seem to have brainwashed the Black Hand into a lobotomized version of himself as a member. I fail to see the compassion in that, and hope that it will be explained further later. I'd be really surprised if that was the last we saw of him.

And no worries for the discussion thing. I only get to because I've introduced several friends to BN and Green Lantern, but if I didn't get to I'd die, there's just so much more to know about it. The discussion is totally enjoyed on my part, so thanks.

I found the lobotomised Black Hand to be one of the biggest surprises of BN #8, I never saw it coming and it brought an almost sinister side to the incredibly mysterious Indigo Tribe.

I wonder when Abin met them, and why the Guardians never saw the Compassion part of the spectrum flashing (as they did when the Zamarons first started weilding Love (in Ring Quest I think)). How long the Tribe been around creates a lot of questions.

The lobotomized Black Hand took me completely by surprise. They brought him back and now he's completely under Indigo's control? I guess the compassion aspect of that doesn't quite add up for me, and have no doubt, I have thought it over quite a bit. Compassion through saving the rest of the world from Nekron coming back? Like the needs of many outweigh the needs of one very messed up individual? Hm. That's the only way I've been able to make it make sense for me, and it's still quite a stretch.

As for the Tribe, they say they're the most sparse light of all, but they have way more members than the Blue Lantern Corps. And Larfleeze, of course, but he's something different all together. So I wonder if they've been around and had time to find people who represent this light. And how Abin Sur plays into it all! Argh, it killllls me, so I can only hope that they'll at least start to solve it in Brightest Day.
