Ok, is is a very old work of me. I just started sewing as I made this, because I've been a huge Star Trek fan - and I still love and prefer the classic series *g*Of course, I made a proper Starfleet Uniform, luckily I do have the original patterns for these garments - that were cut much more tricky than it may appear from a first, quick look at them.
The gress is made from a heavy cotton jersey, the trims that show the wearer's rank at the sleeves is made from two different braids that are sewn on to look as close as possible to the original.
Somewhere I still have a blue uniform shirt that is unfinished so far. I think I'll finish it if I can find it ...
I haven't worn that for ages *g* perhaps I'll do a photoshoot one day

Nice work on this though. Funny enough, I used to watch, and enjoy Star Trek when I was like 9, I'd watch it with my dad all the time! haha. I was a young trekkie

*g* I never saw that ladies in red uniform were killed, so I think I'm quite safe
I discovered Star Trek in the early 90s, me being around 13. I immediately became a fan and I am even today
If I ever have the opportunity to visit a con, I'll sew High Priestess T'Lars red gown from Star Trek III

If I had an occassion to wear it, I'd love to make the gown of the vulcan priestess from the third Star Trek Movie, but I'm not into cons or cosplay in any way ...

although I wasn't so good at sewing yet as i made that, everything was easy to put together, but sizing is a little tricky because of the special pattern.
I'd love to make another one, one day, just for the fun of it

I'm still proud of it, although my sewing skills have improved a lot, this must be 9-8 years ago since I made it.
And I still have a romulan officers uniform in my wardrobe - made after classic series as well
