Description This was part of an art project I did for school, and —still riding high on a Tolkien kick— I produced this. We had to create a piece that incorporated 5-8 symbols or metaphors that represented something meaningful to us and I instantly thought of making playing cards cause I'm a die-hard poker player. The rest is unimportant but I used Gil-galad (who is my favorite character in Tolkien's world) as my focal point and built the remaining piece around it.

I want the jewel in his hair. Whatever that's called. I'd love to be able to buy smaller more discreet light-colored...thingies. Sorry for the flood. Your art is stellar.

This is perfect in every way! The details are stunning. Gil-Galad is my favorite too but so few draw him :/ Please draw more Tolkien characters!

It's awesome! Him, Fingon, Fingolfin, Feanor and Maedhros are probably my favourite Silm characters :')

There are very few I do not like, but he, Glorfindel, Fingon and the sons of Feanor are at the top of my list!

Aha same here, very few I don't like - especially from the Noldorin royal family (everyone except Maeglin, but he intrigues me) and I love the mystery of Oropher's little explored family too
