More practice speed paints. This one was sunset clouds, sunset lighting, water, water in sunsets etc.Also, my favorite duo!
Also, all of the textures I use are from texturemate.com

I like this one a lot. I'm tryin' to use the default brushes in photoshop but I was wondering, how much easier do custom brushes make it?
Also, that critique you got? By nightflight, don't listen to him, he's a dumbass who actually hates me. He even stole one of my icons at one point

Yeah I wasn't really quite sure what to make of that ^^'
Any custom brushes are nice for texture and speed paints, and high detail rendering. Lots of artists just use the round brush with different settings for size and opacity for everything, and chalk brushes seem to be popular with environment painters. A lot of speed paint brush sets will have plants, grass, textures, and whatnot, which are also very useful. I used a lot of custom ones here, one is a square brush that scatters them around, which I used for the clouds, another one that I didnt make is a water one. That brush is so...just so nice XD Also chalk brushes. I'm quite fond of those for painting. I also use photo textures for some spots just to add a little oomph. And a watercolor papery texture over the entire painting.
