Huh. This actually reminds me of the fanfiction "The Other Side of the Coin". In this story Hiccup was rejected at birth, sent out to sea, where he washed up onto the land of the Outcasts and raised as this bloodthirsty fighter. During the story he gives up his eye as payment when visiting the elder of berk for information and advice.
I would recommend this story. It's violent, but keeps you on your toes!

Hey, I have a suggestion for your HTTYD2 webnovel on chapter 31. How about in chapter 31, if everything goes south for Hiccup and his friends, then an armada of wild dragons comes out from the clouds and saves Hiccup, since he saved the dragons from the Green Death, they were willing to return the favor.

Eeee, that is kind of creepy; not because of the obvious bodily mutilation, but because, in the books, that pretty much happens with the main antagonist, Alvin the Treacherous. It gets so bad in the later books, the effect is pretty unsettling. But to contrast Hiccup with a character like that.....*shudder* Ooooh, man, that's disturbing! Nice work! You've really captured his likeness from the movies, and the coloring and color choice is impressive.

I don't think he would lose anymore body parts. He's been through enough of that stuff. Plus, loosing his leg was symbolic and further deepened the bond with Toothless. They shouldn't mess that up by taking more of his body.
The one eye look does go well with your design and Hiccup's development.
It kinda looks like Odin and I think the Vikings would appreciate that reference haha
