Some concept art for Hisakousen Forest and whatnot.

This is supposed to be a kind of feral dog wolf mix. Since Hisakousen has no humans presently inhabiting it, this is a spirit that represents what was. Most likely the spirit of a dog that used to live with humans, It stays around the ruins. Protecting the memory of them. It is a neutral and generally non-aggressive spirit, unless someone tries to harm or remove anything left behind by its old owners.

Beautiful! Words cannot do justice. The character looks familiar. That's not the character for boat is it? I'm a little rusty / fuzzy, but I recognize something there. Oh, I could teach an entire history lesson by simply pulling apart the Japanese character for righteousness into it's two original characters, tracing it to China and then possibly from ancient middle eastern religions, which is where I believe it finds its origin. But the rest of the language I'm rusty on, lol. I must check out your gallery! :-D
