Rula and the 'Black Widows' are on their first deep space training deployment using the aging converted heavy freighter USS LANGTRY as a makeshift carrier. All 30 fighters of the 421st have been crammed into the LANGTRY and sent out to train for thirty days.

Rula and Lt. Wilson put the squadron through their paces, flying through asteroid fields, live fire target pratice, simulated dogfights with the two commanders playing the role of Jem Hadar fighters against the rookie pilots. For days on end, they push the newbies to the brink, hammering tactics into them so fiercely that some of the rookies have nightmares when they collapse in their bunks after training hours.

"Sweat saves blood!" Is the motto of this training mission. And little do they know, they'll be soon putting that hard training to the test...
