What a radical design for a station wagon.

My Dad to this day swears that if you take a 1959 Impala (regular car with no one in the rear seat) on the highway and get it up to above 70 mph, that the fins will lift the rear tires off the ground? Β Β

He says that the 1960's take much higher speeds, but these 1959's will do it every time.

That's just one Dad story that I'd have to see for myself.

You know I've heard this story too by a few people, and from an old friend who had a Biscayne with fins,he said it would do that on the highway too.Who knows maybe your Dad is right ?

When guys get older...the stories tend to get much more clouded from the actual facts. Β

I'm sure that the truth is in there somewhere!
