Tanks in front was added back in the day for alcohol for the strip.this is a dummy tank. Local guy I know very well

Would the original tank be completely out of the question on these relics? You'd think with the attention to detail in the restoration of most everything that they'd go through the trouble to include the gas tanks.

They make new tanks in various forms for most all of these old cars, if I remember right, this guy has a Fuel Cell under the bed cover because the trucks frame is z'd so high there isn't to many options for a gas tank that'll hold enough gas for long hauls,hence the Fuel Cell option. Β

Nope, it's a rectangular tank made for race cars that is safer than a regular gas tank and can be made to order to fit your measurements, and requirements. Β

It's for that originally,you'll see them on almost every Gasser, but this one, I think is just for looks or used for the radiator overflow tank.
