It has a good running 3.8L V6 engine in it, with a C5 (same as old reliable C4 but with lockup convertor
and valve body add-on for it), that's CFI (central fuel injection, a 2bbl throttle body with two fuel
injectors and computer and associated distributor)... I'm expecting to leave all that alone initially unless
it gives me grief... if there's grief, a two barrel carburetor (and lower pressure fuel pump) and regular
mechanical/vacuum advance electronic distributor will be installed.
An '87 "HO" 302 roller cam engine comes with it... so that's a maybe (carbureted), or I'll flip that... I
think a 351 Windsor or 408 stroker derivative would be more interesting. Sub-frame connectors will be
happening pretty early on, because the convertibles have even more body flex than the coupes and
hatchbacks... and I have in my insane amount of ideas and gathered tech and my own mechanical designs,
some tire-planting traction devices and suspension and improved alignment designs for them... to make
her brick-shithouse beefed up in inadequate areas and tougher than stock, handle and steer better and
make it so the rear tires grab-and-go no matter what the motor-vation up front isΒ
