Description I think it's funny how people justify their voting habits by saying "well, it's not like it says anything about me as a person".

Because yes. Yes it does. =/

Okay I thought I was strange for thinking that.

I do hate it when people claim their beliefs dont show their personallity

Having a political opinion at all, or everything like that, says something about the fact that you waste your time.

There's an intelligent approach to modern society: don't think for yourself. Wow, you should tour around reminding people not to dapple in politics or religion or pop culture or anything that makes modern day society what it is, because shucks, it's just such a waste of time. Politics should be left entirely to the asswipe conservative white people, so they have no one standing in their way when they want to pass laws for their own benefit. Why should we try to assert ourselves and stop them? Hell, let's do away with opinions all together, opinions are for people who clearly have nothing better to do with their time. All that lofty idealism, what has it ever gotten us? You know, besides the American revolution, the abolition of slavery, the separation of church and state, women's suffrage, the end of apartheid, the civil rights movement, environmental protection, the abandonment of PIPA and ACTA, the occupy movement, etc, etc, etc. It's not like any of those things made a difference or anything. Political opinions are such a waste of time.

Sigh... I didn't know you intended it in that sense.

Those things are not opinions. Those are necessities, those are right actions that change the system. By political opinions I thought you was talking about the usual trick of two adversary parties that would drive the system, while both of them share power.

How does it not? I've never understood that. The way you vote shows what you value which offers a huge insight into what kind of person you are.

It's nice to know I'm not the only person that thinks this. Might make me judgmental, but idgaf.

THANK YOU.

"Hi, I hate Obama and abortion and women and gays and Muslims and other countries! I vote extremist! I'm very fascist! Want to be my friend?" ...No. (It can very much go the opposite way, but you get what I'm saying...)

...

Ok, so far I have been taught
1. Gender tells nothing about the person.
2. Race tells nothing about the person.
3. Religion tells nothing about the person.

Now political views?
How the hell am I supposed to profile the lowlifes, now?

I'm having a hard time telling if you missed the point of this stamp completely, or are agreeing with it by providing a further example.

I meant that it's ridiculous to think you won't know anything about the person, if you know their political opinions.

In my opinion, it tells more than pretty much anything else.

And I concur, obviously. I don't know how people get so ignorant these days. :/ Or, for that matter, how they stay that way.

It's more about the staying than becoming ignorant.

People are, after all, born ignorant to the world about them, and quite a big minority (majority?) of them is able to keep that 'don't know, don't care' attitude untill adulthood..
Which would be fine if they couldn't do anything about things, but they could..
