This is my entry for the Mysteries Untold contest hosted byPlease full view to see the details.
I had a hard time getting this one to look the way I wanted it to. I had it finished and it just didn't look right. Then I realized there were no reflections... water + objects usually = reflections
. Phantom of the Opera is my favorite musical and story and when I heard of this contest I knew I had to make this. It was fun and theraputic. I feel like I really accomplished something here. I am opening it up to critiques, so please tell me what you think. I am yearning for opinions and some constructive helps. Thank you all for peeking in and for making me feel like a real artist

If you mean what graphics program, just my little paintshop Pro X. *hugs it* I don't own photoshop and honestly while I love the idea of it I am not sure I would ever switch at this point. I have a wacom graphire tablet (also basic, but great) and I just worked and worked on it.

The hardest thing is trying to remove the background from the image so you can put them all together. It just takes practice. If you look at my very first deviation and then one I posted recently you will see that I have grown a lot since I started. You can download a trial of paint shop pro at the corel website I think if you wanted to play with it and see what you thought of it as a graphics program. My daughter uses it to draw and color her linearts so it is very versatile. There is a new version out that I REALLY want. Going to have to sell some art to buy the upgrade though so I have to get cracking and do something someone wants to buy
If you want to give photomanips a try there are a TON of tutorials out there that will help you out and get you going. The best thing is to just start playing though. You may not like what you see at first, but eventually you will get better. I have a folder of deviations that will NEVER see the light of day because they are so hideous

I want to try it sometime, but I don't know if I'd go through the trouble of learning another program again....
I wonder if I can do it with Fireworks. o:
