Portrait of Diane Kruger, bristol paper, 45 x 65 cm, graphite pencils (2H to 8B), nearly 50h.Bridget Von Hammersmark, in the legendary Tarantino's "Inglourious Basterds". Diane Kruger is just wonderful in this movie ! By the way, I should watch it again, it's been a long time since I last saw it...
I wanted to draw one big detailed portrait during November. Started on November, 1st and over yesterday : 50 hours spent on it ! (oh yes, I don't really have work at university, so...

I swear, the hair is so well done, they should use it for, like, shampoo commercials. It looks BETTER than real hair. And that is true art.

Wow I love the way you draw hair! Both on her and on her shrug (?). How do you make the stray light hairs on her? Do you use the needle method where you carve the lines into the paper first?

Wow this is really good stuff! It's hard to find some really outstanding portraits around dA these days, most of them are just soulless and boring, and people don't want to put any effort into it, but finish it quickly. Keep up the good work!
