i did love him, once.

it was probably a fake love. he was the first cat i'd ever known that smiled too much, that had a softness about him that the wastelands had a way of beating out of you. but he hadn't lost it. grey was still happy. he was optimistic and compassionate and smart and loyal and nothing like me.

even after years and years in the wastelands, after all the destruction he'd seen and all the pain and suffering he'd gone through, nothing broke him. until oordeel. oordeel took his youth, his softness, everything i loved about him, and smashed it into pieces right under my nose where i wouldn't notice. maybe i did notice, though, and i tried my best to ignore it, to pretend like everything was still okay. right up until the moment i tore my claws through grey's throat, i believed in him like i'd never believed in anyone before. i believed in him to be optimistic, to always trust me, to believe in paradise, even when i told him we'd never see it.

oordeel killed grey. not me. oordeel did this to all of us.

i'm going to kill him.

When our lives are over and all that remains
Are our skulls and bones let's take it to the grave

hey oordeel, it's gunna take A LOT of convincing to get Nor to not want to murder you.

if you're wondering, Trial 2 drove one of Nor's teammates completely crazy, but she'd fallen in love with him in trial 1 and kind of refused to see it?? but he ended up killing their last kitten teammate to save himself and Nor, so she (brashly) decided to end his life as well. she's a little upset about it.

also i had an rp with RenAstraea and nor turned a shadow into a bird to sit on Aspen's shoulder, and I thought the corvid-type aesthetic fit Nor really well?? I will probably use it again >: )c
