It was that time of the year again.....
...warptide....
Dave....had mixed feelings about warptide. He formed his bro squad during the time....but...just....everything that happened after...
....He wanted to make them happy....to celebrate they were friends.
Skittersweet sounded like a good idea. So dressing up as silly as he could [aka he became the sexiest of apples] he invited all his bros to join the hunt for candy.
It took time but the bro squad united and together they dressed up and enjoyed the festivities...well most of them did...Tony looked distant and lost in thought as time. Dave....felt....weird when he did.
Actually he always felt weird around Tony...but...when he looked like that...it hurt him somehow. He couldn't explain it...well no he could, but Tony was his friend! He....he had no right looking at him like he did. His brother would flip out if he found out....then again did he even care? He hadn't even looked for him when he disappeared...
Dave shook his head and the band continued on to the orchard path, only to see the Loomees buzzing about eating floaty fruit and enjoying their time there. Some weird bi-ped...Fievel? He wasn't sure he talked too fast said he was studying the bugs here. After giving the squad candy Dave thought for a moment and decided to try something.
"Hey Count darkness" Dave said sliding up to Neiko "Here's my candy watch it for me will ya? And ah...watch Donny too...I need to take this costume off the loomees want my tasty apple suit." Neiko rolled his eyes but happily took the candy and with that Dave took off his silly costume and tossed it under a tree and stretched.
Donny and Neiko where trading candies but Tony....Tony was deep in the floaty fruit trees and giving some to the Loomees. He...didn't look so distant then and Dave...well he decided to join him.
"Hey, Tony....um...mind if I sit with you?" Dave asked as cooly as he could, he did his best to suppress the urge to ramble.
"Oh ah sure Davey!" Tony said as he held out a floaty fruit for the bugs to much on.
The two sat and Dave could feel the awkwardness....he...he had to break the tension...but...how? He closed he eyes and thought
It's not like he could just....kiss him...
Dave opened his eyes...wait
Why was his snoot booping Tony's cheek?
Did....did he...
OH GODS HE DID
Immediately he got up and poofed up as Tony stared at him.
"I-i-i-um" And with that Dave bolted out of the trees past Neiko and Donny and to the path towards the woods.
He heard someone cry out after him....but...he paid it no mind.
He could never show his face in Wynsiph again.
